The Specs
Puck was 45 days old when he became a member of his human family. He got his name after his human put him on the floor for the first time and he started to slide, the floor was too slippery for his baby bunny paws. She thought the little bunny looked like a puck sliding on the ice, so she named him Puck. Since his human is crazy about hockey and Habs, it didn’t take long for him to become a huge fan too. After a really cute picture of Puck wearing a Habs jersey was posted on twitter, he got the offer to join the All Habs team. His job? Predicting games and look cute doing it.
The Essentials
Puck’s favourite players are usually goalies, he explains: “Goalies save the puck, while other players hit the puck!” His favourite Habs player is Carey Price, but he also loves PK Subban, Lars Eller and Max Pacioretty. He really doesn’t like the “Blue Leafs”, according to Puck: “Blue Leafs taste bad.” He also doesn’t like penguins, and he is really scared of yellow bears. His favourite thing to do is watch hockey games with his human and do the predictions, because there are always good treats to eat.
What you must know
His favourite leafs are collard greens, alfalfa sprouts, watercress, chard and arugula. But if you really want to see him happy, feed him dry apples and banana peel. He loves to eat paper too, but that’s not very healthy. He also likes carrots, but they make his belly hurt. Puck’s best friends are Rocket and Bubba. He loves to ride in the car with his human, he loves to travel with her to the beach, and he can’t wait to play in the snow. Also, he really wants to go to Montreal to see his favourite team live.
What you probably didn’t know
Puck is recovering from a knee surgery. He broke his patella, so now he has a piece of metal connecting the two pieces. In order to walk/jump without limping he is doing physiotherapy. And he is really thankful to the vets that are taking care of him while he recovers, and he is also thankful to all the friends that sent him “get well” wishes. He says that now he knows how Markov felt, it’s nerve wracking, especially when it takes a long time to get better. He may never jump high again, but he’s not sad about it, because he has all his friends by his side doing all they can to help him. And he says he will be back next season to do more game predictions, and that this time his record will be better.
